Though I’ve done well enough in this “real world”, as society so ironically dubs this illusory matrix, it has never felt natural to me.
The people move too fast and stay too busy. There is little, if any, integrity in the work people do and in their relationships with each other.
Selfishness is encouraged and we all consequently live as islands, importing and exporting our “goods” for profit.
Introspection and time taken to enjoy the little things are considered indolence.
I find it difficult to keep up.
I feel rushed along and pressed on all sides.
And yet I have become a part of this world, adjusted my eyes to its shadows, and nearly forgotten about the reality of light and form.
