We need each other. Like the mycelium underneath the earth, we are all interconnected and interdependent.

We get so caught up in trying to find our purpose and have an impact but we rarely stop to consider the impact of each moment of each tiny connection we make throughout our days.

How often do we stop to consider on whom it is we are seeking to have an impact?

We vaguely conceptualize some conglomerate, some faceless crowd on which we will have a meaningful impact.

But it turns out that it’s in the small, every day connections that our true, grand purpose is found, though it may pass us by if we aren’t paying attention.

We often expect some major event is on the horizon of our lives, and as we stare out beyond the circumstances of our daily, seemingly mundane existence, we look right past the infinite beauty of the present moment.

Pay attention. Pay attention.

Look into the eyes of the person in front of you. That’s where you’ll find your grand purpose.
